Predictive Maintenance for Vat-Photopolymerisation Equipment: Sensors, Degradation Signatures and Intervention Thresholds
Segurola, Juan
A sensor trend becomes useful only when it is connected to a plausible degradation path. More telemetry does not automatically improve maintenance. Load, resin viscosity, ambient temperature and build geometry can change machine signals without degradation. A statistically unusual signal is not automatically a maintenance trigger. Predictive maintenance is incomplete unless the intervention is followed by a health check that demonstrates restoration. Qualification therefore depends on preserving the measured state, configuration and exception history needed to distinguish these mechanisms in production rather than relying on nominal recipe identity alone.
