Imine and Hydrazone Dynamic Photopolymer Networks: Water Sensitivity, Exchange, Mechanical Recovery and Chemical Recycling
Segurola, Juan
Imine and hydrazone bonds can exchange or hydrolyse under conditions accessible to polymer processing, giving printed networks reconfigurability, welding and chemical recycling. Their reversibility also creates a service risk because water, pH and residual amine or carbonyl functionality can alter the network after printing. This review links bond chemistry to humidity sensitivity, stress relaxation, mechanical recovery and reprocessing using 4D-printing, biobased DLP and adaptive-surface demonstrations.
