Supplier-Quality Management for Photopolymer Raw Materials: Specifications, Audits by Evidence, Deviations and Continuity
Segurola, Juan
Photopolymer raw-material quality cannot be controlled by supplier name or certificate of analysis alone. Oligomers, monomers, photoinitiators, inhibitors, pigments and fillers can influence viscosity, spectrum, cure kinetics, ageing and final properties through attributes that may not appear on a commercial specification. This review develops a supplier-quality architecture based on critical material attributes, evidence-bearing specifications, lot release, change notification and continuity planning. Supplier audits are framed as audits by evidence: the objective is not a generic questionnaire but confidence that identity, process controls, test methods, deviations and change notifications are reliable for the attributes that matter to the downstream resin. Incoming verification is risk- based and is reduced only when supplier performance and measurement agreement are demonstrated. Deviations remain traceable to affected lots and finished products. The central conclusion is that a supplier is qualified for a defined material state and evidence system, not for all future variants sold under the same commercial label.
